Group Hikes

Learning ways to walk harmoniously together while having fun!

Group Hike Program

Learning how to walk in a group is hard for alot of dogs.

If they don’t have enough confidence or optimism this can be a stressful situation.

Once placed in this situation our dogs often find ways to cope, sometimes they act out ( fear aggression) other times they tuck their tails and stay on the edge of the group trying to go unnoticed.

Either of these choices is stressful for the dog and can make it harder for us to read their body language, easier for them to react negatively or makes it so they turn their otherwise perfect ears off.

In order to learn how to successfully walk in a group of dogs and still maintain your dogs confidence and optimism you need to build up their skills by playing concept games!

These games will help to strengthen your dogs skills and make it so walking with other dogs is a fun event not a stressful one.

How this program works?

I will need to do an assessment of your dog, work out a plan and get some games started at home before we start with the group walks.

This way I can make sure the group is going to function smoothly and the level of learning will be similar for all dogs.

My goal for this program is to provide you with a safe group environment for your dog while creating positive pathways that spill over into your daily walks.

Creating a more enjoyable walking experience with your dog.

The more a dog rehearses a positive pathway the more often they will choose it!
